Elif’s practice focuses on international dispute settlement in various sectors, especially in energy, mining, and infrastructure. She has advised her clients in arbitrations under the rules of ICC, LCIA, ICSID, and CIETAC.

Before joining Potestas Partners, Elif worked at reputable international and Turkish law firms serving international clients in different areas of law. She spent a year at one of the leading English law firms in London after having worked as in-house legal counsel at one of the largest conglomerates in Turkey, operating in, among others, gold mining, petroleum and construction sectors. Besides her role at Potestas, Elif also provides comprehensive legal services at Duranay Law Firm, which she founded to represent her clients before Turkish courts and to give advice on Turkish law.​

Elif is the Secretary General of the Energy Disputes Arbitration Center (EDAC). In addition to her institutional roles, she also acts as an arbitrator in international arbitration proceedings.

Elif obtained her LL.B. from Bilkent University and holds an LL.M in Comparative and International Dispute Resolution from the Queen Mary, University of London.

Elif is a qualified lawyer admitted to practice in Turkey.
